The aroma of slow smoked pork filled the air around Tom Lee Park Thursday, May 17, 2007 as the annual Memphis in May Barbecue Contest got underway. With witty names that mix swine references with pop culture, teams like "Reservoir Hogs" and "The Bastey Boys" will compete for over $60, 000 dollars in prize money and various titles. There's also a team called "I Do BBQ" created by a couple who met at the 2006 competition and plan to get married at the conclusion of this year's BBQ Fest.
